I don't think I get the whole, "Pain of battle" cross-reference; but if it means something important t you, so be it =D
The skin folds are phenomenal, might i add. Very nice stuff.

The human body is one of the most difficult things to put on paper (In my opinion at least).
Being able to make a Self-portrait blows my mind, the idea you very well could/do look exactly like that is great, and there are no shape flaws or lighting mishaps that I can tell.
